App Functionality and Permissions
AntiTheft is a privacy-focused security app that captures photos of individuals who make failed attempts to unlock your device. To function properly, the app requires these permissions:
- Camera: Used exclusively to capture photos when a failed unlock attempt is detected. These photos are never stored on our servers.
- Device Administrator: Required to detect failed unlock attempts. This permission allows the app to monitor login attempts but does not give access to your PIN, password, pattern, or any other personal data.
- Internet: Used only to send captured photos directly to your Google Drive or Telegram bot. We do not intercept or store these photos.
- Run at startup: Optional permission that ensures protection begins immediately when your device boots. You can disable this if preferred.
Data Privacy Commitment
AntiTheft does not collect, store, process, or transmit any user data. The app functions as a direct connection between your device and your personal cloud services (Google Drive or Telegram).
- It is immediately sent to your designated service (Google Drive or Telegram)
- No copies are saved to our servers or databases
- We have no way to access these photos
- No metadata or analytics about captured photos are collected
Third-Party Services Integration
The AntiTheft app connects to third-party services solely to deliver captured photos to accounts you own and control:
- Google Drive: Google Drive: Photos are sent directly to your personal Google Drive account. Your login credentials are handled by Google's authentication system and are not accessible to us. Please review Google's Privacy Policy for details on how Google handles data you store in Drive.
- Telegram: Telegram: Photos are sent directly to your Telegram bot. Your bot token and chat ID are stored locally on your device only and are never transmitted to us. Please review Telegram's Privacy Policy for information on how Telegram handles content sent through their platform.
